Factions

Organised groups of players that come to OldTown days before the LARP starts and build their camps. They have their own backstories, traditions, goals, leaders, allies and enemies. They co-create the game plot and have the biggest influence on it from a global viewpoint. Every faction is different, they have different costumes, ideas, roleplaying styles and so on. Factions create conglomerates - ingame unions of factions that give them more power and possibilities.

Schron-Bud is an invincible team of people without whom OldTown wouldn't exist. No one else but the members of Schron-Bud put this machine in motion - they lay the foundations for the city, create a friendly space for the players, take care of their comfort, keep order, hype up the game. They devote their energy to make everyone who passes the entrance gate feel informed and safe. At the same time, they experience a great adventure behind the scenes of a unique event - both for players and with players.

Team Louvre is tightly knit group, that comes from Vault called L-1, which is located under Louvre palace, in Paris, France. TL members are known by their technological things and ancient sounding names. Team Louvre made their first appearance in OldTown during 2119, Season of Arrivals, and stood against the Invader and its power hungry politics. Now, TL is part of the Upper City Conglomerate.

Originally a Polish group of engineers and laborers who worked at maintaining the Bajkonur kosmodrom. After the apocalypse, they created from whatever they had: machines made out of old engines, buildings out of rocket sheathings, reusable energy out of modified components found in the depths of a massive complex. When they arrived in OldTown, they decided to call it their home. Their goal is to protect this little refuge of civilization. Military and scientific security, as well as psychological safety - to achieve it, they created their own smaller hideaway. Their cafe is a place where you can enjoy some tea, taste some treats that taste just like they did before the war, and take a rest after a fight.

Hotel Moscow

Moscow Hotel is an organization that wanders through war-ruined wastelands, bringing the survivors a hope for peace and justice. They use the training they've been through to protect those who cannot stand for themselves. The stay neutral as long as the other side lets them - and if an opponent takes out a gun, they will not hesitate to eliminate the danger.

Imagine a group of old outlaws, cyborgs, mutants, former Bounty Hunters, Gryfs, Sicz members and anything else you can imagine. Firstly you're gonna ask what drugs I'm on. Firstly - nothing yet today, secondly, I will assure you that a band like this does exist. And they are alive and kicking! Without a specific hierarchy, but they're even trying to rebuild Wasteland. Rumors say they let anyone who doesn't fit in anywhere else join their ranks. They even established some contacts with the Związek Rondziecki. They are not in jail as often as some say, they actually try to find common tongue with CAD. What do they do? Hell knows, they trade, organize gladiator fights, make structures, get stoned, they do what they feel like doing whenever they have the time. What is certain is that they aren't in good terms with the Invader. Have you figured out whom I mean? No? Okay, you ordered me a beer, so now I'll tell you. It's 109, the Anarchy. You askin' if they're ideological? What would I know...

Trappers

Do you see that camp just outside city gates? Those guys are Trappers, best hunters, guides and pathfinders wasteland have to offer. They prefer nature, even mutated one, over humans and tend to keep to themselves. Ex Great Radscorpion worshipers, guns for hire or just common travelers … it does not matter, as long as you put your past behind and follow Trappers rules, you are welcome.

You can find them far and wide as wasteland goes – from bigger settlement, group out for quest to a single traveler. You want to pass a message? Get safely to next settlement? Try yourself out hunting biggest game there is? On your own you are lost in matter of hours. Unless you ask Trapper for help.

They always come during Season of Arrivals – trade stories and goods, see old friends. They are one big family that gather once a year. They even organized hunts for deathclaws that posed threat to the city. Though many perished, hunt itself was always successful and followed by a huge party.

How I know so much about them? It is simple, I’m one of them. But to be sure just visit us and see for yourself.

Discreet Charm Of Aristocracy arrived at the Season Of Arrivals for the first time in 2115, bringing a bit of chic and elegance into the dullness of the wastelands. The faction members, every single one being highborn, believe in natural supremacy as a result of their royal blood. However, noblesse oblige, as Prince de Levis wrote (not the Levis guy from the jeans you have on your butt), so the Aristocrats and their allies are ready to face the difficulties and responsibilities they face as the humanity's leaders. So, if you feel you're better from the commoners around you, you can appreciate chic and ellegance, you treasure beauty, you can withstand a few days long feast and you can give a proper beating, you might have some blue blood in your veins as well. Come tu us, we'll check it in genealogy books. Once you feel the blue blood in your veins, you will know right away that you're better than the mob that surrounds you, those weak, sick, unsure of their future, those that have their hands in such a funny manner when you target them... than those, you know... victims...

Children of Ashes arrived to OldTown in 2115, travelling on foot from the frozen wastelands of the former Finland to follow a prophecy of salvation in the southern lands. For the shamanistic hunter-gatherers, the prophecy materialized in the form of OldTown and its AI leader, Igor, who provided the tribe with a safe new home and sanctuary. Children of Ashes are an animistic sect who base their beliefs on old Finnish folk religion, worshiping the manifestations and spirits of nature: most of the members are named (and behave) based on their inner animal deities. However, settled within OldTown, the tribe’s beliefs have started to include the spirits of technology and electricity, apparent in the garbs, decorations, and rituals of the Children. In OldTown, the tribe has flourished, effortlessly combining their ways of nature with the technology oriented factions of the town. Lately the seemingly carefree and joyous tribe has started to show a darker and more erratic side in their behavior as well as in their appearances. Some members of the tribe have gone their own way and left the tribe as things have become stranger. Many people have been led to the tribe’s camp never to return and some nights strange and fearsome rituals are taking place on their side of OldTown.

If you have something behind your ears better avoid them, because they can have a contract on you. If you didn’t mess with anyone, you can approach them, because in general they are a positive bunch that will welcome you, make room for you by the fire, share their poor stock of beer with you… you’ll hear tales of wild nature and freedom they want to reach. Tales about adventures aplenty. About bravery and brotherhood. About how they seized power in the Old Town in one day, many years ago. You may laugh in disbelief, but that’s how it was! AUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

Griffons

The Griffons are a typical military faction, consisting of former members of many other factions, who together decided that clubbing mutants at the airfield is *the* thing to do in their lives. ARMOR! Our name is linked to the emblem of former city Stettin, and our logo is a combination of the letter G and the griffon’s head. Our leitmotifs are: walking around in metal armors during solar terror and clubbing mutants at the airfield. Despite having an advanced sub-unit skilled in dispatching wpierdol, many of our members are ARMOR! preferring other ways of spending the Time of the Arrivals. Still, even our scientists and medics have a club and armor in their standard equipment.

The faction was created right after the big offensive of the Marshall’s army on Sedina after the Time of Arrivals in 2113. They were supposed to fill in the gap left after the destruction of the city guarding police, marine armed forces of John Nato and many other military ARMOR! forces and factions. After pushing back the offensive there was nobody who would safeguard the order in the city and its inhabitants from the dangers of the neojungle. Armed forces of ZUS, the Unified Union of Sedina fought bravely at the front, but there was no coordination between the factions. It was then when the idea to create an independent force with a primary goal - to protect the citizens of Sedina - came to life. In time, the Griffons have added more goals to their agenda, such [ERROR] the Marshall (as well as the Order too), organizing a regular [ERROR]! clubbing and bullet vending for the mutants and adding ever more pieces of metal to their armors.

The Holy Flame has cleansed the rotten world of the yore in fires of atomic carnage, creating a blank space for a better world to be built upon the scorched ruins of the fallen civilization. The Order of the Holy Flame bears the mission to lead humanity to the bright, new future created for the glory of the Flame.

OldTown is the next aim on their path to fulfilling this mission.
